Happy Birthday George!

I've made it no secret that George Lucas is probably the single most influential person in my creative live. So I'd like to take this opportunity to say happy birthday George! This is a piece from an ongoing project of mine to have an "inspiration wall". It's a lithophane, one of four planned. Unfortunately shortly after this version was done I discovered I can't get this size frame from Ikea anymore. So it's back to the drawing board. 

The print turned out ok, but just ok. Lots of layer lines and one small shift that I took some time to Dremel down. It's actually printed as a curved piece and thermal formed flat. This allows for a more stable print. As you can see I didn't take much care when I thermal formed it, it's sorta lumpy. That the great thing about thermal forming though, I can just do it again.
