Motion Control Linear Stage

In our latest animation project at BrickNerd Studios there's a vehicle flying. This isn't the first time we've had this, and it's always a bit of a pain. Flying rigs are usually clunky, unreliable and difficult to work with. It occurred to me with this particular vehicle that if I had a way of moving it up and down, and could attach it to our Ditogear Omnislider, I could simply program the vehicle movement. So I built this, a linear stage. The best part is it was built mostly with stuff I had on hand, Makerbeam XL extrusions, parts from an old 3D printer and parts I designed in Fusion 360 and printed on my CR-10.
